I’m Abdullah, 11 years old, from Khan Yunis. I had a normal, beautiful life before the war began.
We lived in a warm, spacious house, cultivated and tended our land, went to school, university, and work, and went about our daily lives with simplicity.
We had a life… and a future ahead of us.
But everything has changed.
The war completely destroyed our home, uprooted us from our land, and displaced us to an uninhabitable tent.
We are now seven people, trying to adapt to a reality unlike what we once knew.
My brother Sharif got married just a month before the war, but his new home was also destroyed, leaving his joy unfulfilled.
As for Ashraf, with his university destroyed, he continues his education remotely, despite everything we are going through.
This is not just a story of sadness; it’s a testament to the human ability to cling to life amidst the rubble.

كنا نعيش في بيت دافئ وواسع، نزرع أرضنا ونعتني بها، نذهب إلى المدرسة والجامعة والعمل، ونمارس حياتنا اليومية بكل بساطة. كانت لنا حياة… وكان لنا مستقبل نراه أمامنا.
لكن كل شيء تغيّر.
الحرب دمّرت بيتنا بالكامل، واقتلعتنا من أرضنا، وشرّدتنا إلى خيمة لا تصلح للعيش. نحن الآن 7 أفراد نحاول التأقلم مع واقع لا يشبه ما كنا نعرفه.
أخي شريف تزوج قبل الحرب بشهر واحد فقط، لكن منزله الجديد دُمّر أيضًا، ولم تكتمل فرحته. أما أشرف، فمع تدمير جامعته، يواصل تعليمه بصعوبة عن بُعد، رغم كل ما نمرّ به.
